Welsh Harvest Fest 2015

By Jimmy Dollard and Seraphina Mallon-Breiman

Last weekend at Green Mountain College- our annual Welsh Harvest Festival took place on and around our campus Cerridwen Farm! It was a day full of animals, good food, and smiles. From 1-4pm, Cerridwen Farm hosted musicians and music, food (homemade soups and pies and ciders!), lawn games and activities, as well as apple cidermaking, sheep shearing, horse-drawn wagon rides and a craft fair.

Many students were lined up across multiple tables and blankets to showcase their personally designed ceramic cups/bowls/plates, etc. Students were also selling their own wood-crafted cutting boards, cutlery, and knick-knacks. Students were also selling hair wraps, fermented foods, and multiple hand-crafted goods. Overall, a joyous occasion of fun and friends.
