GMC gets Honorable Mention at MUN! By Seraphina Mallon-Breiman

Last week, fifteen GMC students spent the week in New York City, amidst an international debating conference held in hotels near time square such as The Sheraton and The Hilton, as well as the United Nations Headquarters. Along with roughly 5,000 other young delegates each day, they woke up early and worked hard as political diplomats and world citizens to represent the African country Kenya, through economics, human rights, sustainable development and general assemblies. Making speeches, attending meetings and networking with their peers- GMC was successful in recieving an award by the end of the week as an entire delegation as Honorable Mention! As well as our head delegate, Salima Mahamadou won Outstanding Delegate award! Congratulations Green Mountain College, well done! Following is a picture blog documenting the week, mostly with photographs by student Robert Holloway!
